Unless otherwise stated, prices are listed per room per night and include breakfast. Tariffs are based on two people in a twin or double room. Extra charges will be made for more than two people in a double or twin room and single guests in a double room. Some tariffs also include dinner in which case drinks are not included and a supplement may be payable for certain items. Breakfast is available from 8:30am to 9.30am and evening meals summertime 5pm – 9.30pm winter 6pm – 8.30pm. No refund shall be payable for a missed meal.

Making a Booking

Making a direct booking through our web site and all other linked sites we shall ask you for a non refundable £50 deposit per room to secure the booking.

Packages and Special Offers

Some packages, such as the New Year Package, will have one price for the entire stay instead of a price per night. A non-refundable deposit will be required at time of booking and the full charge must be paid at least one month before the arrival date. If the balance remains unpaid more than 4 days past the due date the room will no longer be held and will be made available for other guests to book. Special Offers will require full payment at the time of booking. For Packages and Special Offers no refund will made in the event of cancellation. It is advisable to have travel insurance to cover such cancellations.

Supplementary Charges

Your bill shall be prepared for you on departure and shall include all charges.

Check In/Check Out

Hotel rooms are normally available from 2:00pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the hotel manager. If the room is not vacated by the checkout time, we reserve the right to charge you for an extra night’s accommodation. Prior to your departure from the hotel you will be required to settle your bill.

Cancellation and Amendments

All cancellations or amendments must be made in accordance with our cancellation terms. Where a cancellation or amendment is not made in accordance with our applicable cancellation terms, we reserve the right to charge you the total tariff for your booking.

Our terms for cancellations or amendments are as follows:-

Where cancellation or amendment is notified to us:

  • less than 5 days prior to arrival or after you have checked in – the total tariff for your booking will be charged in full. However we may, at our discretion, refund this amount to the extent that the room reserved for you can be let to a third party for the period of your booking; or
  • between 5 days and 25 days prior to arrival – 1 night’s tariff will be charged if we are unable to let the room for the period of your booking; or
  • more than 25 days prior to arrival – no charge will be made.

In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so.

Damage to Hotel Property

We reserve the right to charge guests for the cost of rectifying any damage caused by the deliberate, reckless or negligent act of the guest to any of Lamlash Bay Hotel property.

Guests will be charged £10.00 for the loss of any hotel keys.


Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any particular requests which you may have in relation to your stay with us, we cannot unfortunately guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests which you may make and our failure in this regard will not constitute a breach of contract.

Lamlash Bay Hotel shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit the Lamlash Bay Hotel’s liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of the Company or its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit the Company’s liability in any manner which would be unlawful.


Every effort has been made to help you enjoy your stay. We would welcome any feedback on your experience and are happy to assist with any queries.

The Lamlash Bay Hotel has a no smoking policy and guests found to be smoking may be asked to leave and charged £150 for disruption caused as this will set off the hotel fire alarms and for the cost of dry cleaning any affected soft furnishings and for any loss of income suffered because of any necessary airing of their room.

Only hotel guests are allowed in rooms after 9:00pm.

Because unforeseen events can arise, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance which will cover any costs should you need to postpone or cancel your booking. We will not be responsible for any costs or losses incurred by you if you are unable to travel or complete your journey.

Pets are allowed at our discretion please ask before arriving, an extra charge of £10 per night will be charged, no pets at any time should be left in rooms unattended and any time.

Data Protection

Information you provide to us will only be used by Lamlash Bay Hotel and its subsidiaries. We may process personal information about you if you ask us to add your name to our mailing list so that we can keep you informed of seasonal promotions.

Your contract with us shall be subject to the laws of Scotland.
