ESSENTIAL INFORMATION COVID/ARRAN/CHANGES/PROCEDURES for Lamlash Bay Hotel and your booking.


Please read this vital information for you to consider in relation to your upcoming trip and getting here.

As the island slowly starts up again, the way we do business has changed. Many places will be offering a reduced service, smaller menus, less staff, reduced hours etc. Booking ahead will be ESSENTIAL.

We want you to consider all this and plan ahead rather than be disappointed.

CALMAC FERRIES:
Currently operating at 50% capacity. You can only book up to and within 7 WEEKS before travel. This applies to passengers, cars and dogs and demand will be extremely high. Your reservation is your responsibility. Please remember to always check their website for their latest updates.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
We have currently reduced our cancellation policy down  to 48 hours before arrival; at which point FULL payment will be taken. This is to allow guests more flexibility due to Covid related health and travel issues and to minimise contact at check-out. Unfortunately, any room cancelled within 48 hours of arrival will NOT be refunded under any circumstances. As a small business trying to recover on an island we cannot recoup a late room loss as there is no passing trade.

INSURANCE:
We strongly advise you purchase travel insurance to refund the expense for your trip in case you have to cancel due to developing symptoms of Coronavirus, having to self isolate due to someone in your household developing symptoms, being contacted by a tracer due to your proximity with someone who has tested positive, your town or city re-entering lock down, the health of a loved one, travel disruptions due to limited capacity on ferry and trains or any unforeseen circumstances.

RESTAURANTS/BARS/ATTRACTIONS:
We serve food in the restaurant and bar from 5pm. Due to social distancing, our capacity has been greatly reduced. Hotel guests are urged to book slots in the bar and restaurant tables when booking rooms to avoid dissappointment. Non residents can call to book on the day after midday.
Our bar is open Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm and Friday and Saturday 12 Noon till Midnight.
Our bar is dog friendly and we serve the same menu as in the restaurant. Children and young persons under 18 are permitted in the bar until 8pm and in the restaurant till 10pm.
Our last table booking during the summer will be 8.45pm

Some other venues may be open for bookings but most hotels are only taking bookings on the day for non residents. We advise you to plan ahead for attractions too and check on current booking procedures. Visit Arran have  an up to date list on their website of what is open and links.
 
We are dog friendly, but please do remember to notify us well in advance. We accept up to two well-behaved dogs per room at a charge of £15 per dog per stay. Dogs are not allowed to be left alone in rooms.

We want to welcome you back but need you to be prepared and to be able to enjoy the natural wonders of Arran, as well as some good food, good cheer and a good night's sleep.
