Unless otherwise stated, prices are listed per room per night and include breakfast. Tariffs are based on two people in a twin or double room. Extra charges will be made for more than two people in a double or twin room. Some tariffs also include dinner in which case drinks are not included and a supplement may be payable for certain items. Breakfast is pre-booked from 8:10am - 9:40 am and Evening meals 5pm - 8:30pm during the season, 5pm-8pm and closed Sundays over the winter period. No refund shall be payable for a missed meal.
Making a direct booking through our web site and all other linked sites. Full payment will be taken in advance from the card provided at the time of booking. This shall be processed 5 days in advance for direct bookings after which the booking becomes non- refundable. For Channel Bookings ( booking.com/Expedia etc) this shall be processed 1MONTH in advance after which the booking is non refundable.
Some packages, such as the New Year Package will have a longer cancellation policy where full payment will be taken 1 month in advance and the cancellation period for this period will be free up to 1 month in advance.
For 2 or more rooms or 8 or more guests in a group booking, the cancellation will be 2 weeks in advance at which point full payment will be required. Group bookings must notify the hotel in advance, even if rooms are booked separately. As a small team with limited space, meal and breakfast bookings must be discussed for groups of 8 or more in advance. The hotel cannot automatically cater to larger groups and this must be approved by management in advance.
For all bookings and special offers, no refund will be made in the event of a cancellation or amendment within the cancellation period. It is advisable to have travel insurance to cover such cancellations. Lamlash Bay Hotel cannot be held responsible for financial loss due to late cancellations due to ill health, travel disruptions, weather distributions/ personal reasons or guests choice not to come for all or part of booked period.
Bed and breakfast room charges are taken from the card provided prior to arrival. For any further spend (food & drink) we operate a pay as you go system. We do not create " room bills" or assign food and drink to the room. This means at departure you only need to hand back the key and there is no final bill to settle.
Hotel rooms are normally available from 2:00 pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the hotel manager. If the room is not vacated by the checkout time, we reserve the right to charge you for an extra night’s accommodation.
All cancellations or amendments must be made in accordance with our cancellation terms. Where a cancellation or amendment is not made in accordance with our applicable cancellation terms, we reserve the right to charge you the total tariff for your booking.
Our terms for cancellations or amendments are as follows:-
• Free cancellation up to 5 days prior to arrival for direct bookings
•Full stay charged if booking cancelled within 5 days prior to arrival
•Free cancellation up to 1 month prior to arrival for all other booking channels and platforms
Full stay charged for cancellations within 1 month of arrival for all channel bookings and platforms
In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so.
We reserve the right to charge guests for the cost of rectifying any damage caused by the deliberate, reckless, or negligent act of the guest or their dog to any of the Lamlash Bay Hotel property.
Guests will be charged £10.00 for the loss of any hotel keys.
Whilst every effort is made to fulfill any particular requests which you may have in relation to your stay with us, we cannot, unfortunately, guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests which you may make and our failure in this regard will not constitute a breach of contract.
Lamlash Bay Hotel shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas, or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.
For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit the Lamlash Bay Hotel’s liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of the Company or its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit the Company’s liability in any manner which would be unlawful.

The Lamlash Bay Hotel has a no smoking policy and guests found to be smoking may be asked to leave and charged £150 for the disruption caused as this will set off the hotel fire alarms and for the cost of dry cleaning any affected soft furnishings and for any loss of income suffered because of any necessary airing of their room.
Only hotel guests are allowed in rooms after 9:00pm.
Because unforeseen events can arise, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance which will cover any costs should you need to postpone or cancel your booking. We will not be responsible for any costs or losses incurred by you if you are unable to travel or complete your journey.
Information you provide to us will only be used by Lamlash Bay Hotel and its subsidiaries. We may process personal information about you if you ask us to add your name to our mailing list so that we can keep you informed of seasonal promotions.
